Annika Jensen
Director

We live and breathe STAR Camp at our house! It is my absolute joy to direct these programs year-round, with the full support and enthusiasm of my husband and four young children. My educational background is in engineering, which I love. My career has taken me more on a path through education and mentorship, which it turns out I also really love. I am so blessed to be able to live and share my passion for STEM education every day!

Emily Rimmasch
Assistant Director: Logistics

I am Emily! I am a DaVinci Academy graduate and graduated from Weber State University in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I had the honor to work at Newbridge Elementary this year as their first-ever preschool teacher. I had the fun challenge of helping to set up the preschool program. I'm excited to take on the challenge of helping STAR Camp run smoothly this summer, especially because it means I get to help children grow their passion for STEM.

Harrison Fackrell
Assistant Director: Simulations

I'm Harrison, the new Assistant Director of Simulations this year. I'm returning to STAR Camp as a six-time alumnus, and my family has been involved in the program for many years. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah, and I am also the in-house developer for STAR Camp's mission simulation software—I've always loved computer engineering, and I hope to pass that on to the campers this summer.

Hi! My name is Ashlyn Fackrell and I am 18 years old! I have been a camper with this program for many years and involved with it as long as I can remember! I recently graduated from Layton High school and this will be my third year on staff for this wonderful program! I love science and STEM so much, especially helping others to see their potentials in those areas. Outside of STAR Camp, I work at a karate Dojo, working with kids every day! I am a second degree BlackBelt and have enjoyed martial arts for close to 12 years now. I also love nature, spending time with friends, sewing, and really being involved with people. I am heavily involved with band programs around Northern Utah and love to play French Horn! I am so excited for this new year and this new camp program!

Team Leader

Howdy, I'm Dallas Walker. I love chocolate, music, reading, music, speech and debate, science, programming, and progress. I am 17 years old and will be a senior at Westlake high school this fall. After I graduate, I plan on serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I return to attend college, I plan on majoring in computer science or engineering because both are subjects which I am passionate about. Throughout my life, I have lived in 4 different states, including: Idaho, Texas, Georgia, and Utah. This summer will be my first year as a staff member at STAR camp. I loved attending what was previously known as Astro camp, and look forward to having an amazing summer with y'all!!!
