We live and breathe STAR Camp at our house! It is my absolute joy to direct these programs year-round, with the full support and enthusiasm of my husband and four young children. My educational background is in engineering, which I love. My career has taken me more on a path through education and mentorship, which it turns out I also really love. I am so blessed to be able to live and share my passion for STEM education every day!

Bennett King
Math Tutor and Office Assistant

Hello my name is Bennett king and I’m the Office Assistant and STAR Camp Math Tutor. I love space, science, and engineering. I love helping others grow a love for STEM and just getting to be better problem solvers. I also do math tutoring for a small group and I love every minute of it. I always watched my older brothers have such a big interest in the STEM fields, and as I saw that, my interest grew more and more. Since I was little I have done all my own crazy experiments and research. While I’m not doing science experiments I’m usually playing football at Davis High School.

Juliana Ballard
Curriculum Specialist

I am so excited to be part of this program and teach kids that science and engineering are fun! My background is in computer software and project management. I was always the minority being a woman and I want to teach both boys and girls that they can be whatever they want when they grow up. I've been married for 20 years and have two kids, 14 and 12 years old. I love animals, soccer, and reading. 

Kenzie Carter
Curriculum Specialist

I've been going to Astro camp since I was 11 years old. I've been volunteering at program events for nearly as long, and I've been on summer staff for four years, as a team leader and then as night staff. This program has taught me so much about myself and about being a leader. I love all things space, and plan to travel there as an astronaut one day. In my free time, I love musical theatre and being in nature.
