Meet Our Staff

Director

We live and breathe STAR Camp at our house! It is my absolute joy to direct these programs year-round, with the full support and enthusiasm of my husband and four young children. My educational background is in engineering, which I love. My career has taken me more on a path through education and mentorship, which it turns out I also really love. I am so blessed to be able to live and share my passion for STEM education every day!

I have been involved with this program for as long as I can remember! I've been on STAR Camp summer staff for three years and involved with DSSF community outreach since it was founded. I love science and STEM in general, and study human and health sciences in particular. I also work at a Karate Dojo as a head sensei and program director, working with kids every day! I am a Second Degree BlackBelt and teach karate classes when I'm not doing STEM classes. I love spending time with friends, sewing, and really being around people. I am heavily involved with band programs around Northern Utah and love to play French Horn. I am so excited for this year and to be working with the schools and meeting great students and teachers all year!

I am thrilled to work with this amazing program and help kids realize that STEM is awesome! I enjoy working with children and love it when they find something they are passionate about and it lights a fire for them to explore and learn. Outside of work I love being with my family, traveling, and I am a lover of all animals. I’m excited for this next year and working with all of you.

I've been going to Astro camp since I was 11 years old. I've been volunteering at program events for nearly as long, and I've been on summer staff for four years, as a team leader and then as night staff. This program has taught me so much about myself and about being a leader. I love all things space, and plan to travel there as an astronaut one day. In my free time, I love musical theatre and being in nature.
